Hestercombe – Destination Marketing Campaign

Super Summer

We are working as the exclusive Creative Marketing Agency for Hestercombe Historic House & Gardens.

The Hestercombe Gardens Trust is an independent charitable trust. The venue is used for cultural tourism, weddings, conferences, health and wellbeing, outdoor music and theatre events, and others.

Within the grounds are beautiful historic gardens and a selection of venues from grand and formal, to small and intimate.

Our client’s brief was for a Super Summer Campaign for 2022, designed for young families to explore the grounds of Hestercombe with signposting about the campaign.

The main assets for the campaign included digital, out of home, and print marketing materials such as a puzzle book, local press adverts, social media assets, and campaign signage.

The creative theme of the campaign was inspired by ‘around the world in 80 days’ and includes world architectural illustrations as part of a family-friendly, inviting style. We created a series of fun facts about the countries, engaging children, and their parents with the campaign. A free puzzle book was also created, that is completed as each location of Hestercombe grounds is visited.

Our target market included local residents and domestic tourists, particularly young families looking for things to do in the summer holidays.

Impact

Our marketing approach was edutainment, making all campaign assets both educational and enjoyable. The campaign is now live. Our client has been delighted with the response to this year’s campaign.
