Southport Air Show – Event Marketing

Event marketing to sell tickets to one of Southport’s headline annual events, attended by over 200,000 people.

Southport Air Show is a ticketed event drawing around 200,000 visitors to Southport every year. Our client’s objective was to sell tickets to the event, attract younger audiences, and support the local visitor economy.

To help our client deliver their objectives, we worked on the campaign, providing digital, radio and (out of home) OOH media assets.

We kept the creative and messaging complementary to the overall destination campaign, whilst delivering to the brief for this particular event and taking into account different audience needs for event marketing.

We have been a retained Creative Marketing Agency for Sefton Council since 2019.

Impact

The event was successfully sold out and we noted an increase in the engagement of a younger audience across digital channels, in the 24-35 demographics. The e-newsletters also outperformed industry standards, with 40% open rates and maintaining a 10% click through.
