4 new year resolutions for businesses in 2021…

We made it to the end of a very tough year. The challenge we’ve set ourselves at Gingerhead is a really easy one – to make 2021 better than 2020.

In the UK, we’re heading back into another lockdown for an unknown timeframe, we’re going through Brexit (at last with a deal), we’re preparing ourselves for more economic strain and the continued challenges and fears of the pandemic while also watching the chaos and devastation across the pond. It has never been clearer than with Donald Trump just how much damage a terrible leader can cause. So…2021 hasn’t exactly started as we’d hoped.

But we remain optimistic. Here’s a couple of resolutions we’d like to share:

  1. Be flexible and adaptable: every business struggled with their operations in some way during 2020. We must always be nimble and ready to change strategy, technology, or services as needed.
  2. Support each other: many of us have been moving away from big businesses in the last year, choosing instead to shop and support local. We will be actively seeking out more ways to support local in 2021.
  3. Remember to relax: the last year was unbelievably stressful. This year, while we might not be able to go on a nice relaxing holiday (yet), we’re going to find simple ways of taking time to ourselves, whether that’s a nice jog or walk, or a bubble bath with a good book and a closed door.
  4. Get creative: we saw truly innovative marketing throughout the pandemic. Many went out of their comfort zones, with great success. We’re going to support our clients to keep that going. To shake up what they’ve been doing, to use channels never before considered and keep an open mind about attracting new customers.

Good luck to everyone in 2021!
